Hello, my name is Anzelika. I am a second year apprentice at BT and this is my BT blog! :)

Before applying for an apprenticeship with BT I worked as a Chef in a sea food restaurant. I thought I would keep working in the same type of business, but sometimes it was too much and I felt like it was not leading anywhere so I started looking for something better.

I joined my local Job centre to find a better job with more opportunities for the future which is where I found out about the BT apprenticeships. I had to fill in an online application form, and after a few months was invited to an interview and I was one of the lucky ones to be offered a place as an apprentice.

I already had friends working for BT and they told me that it was a really good career offering a job for life and that you can grow within the company whilst you learn and earn.

I feel really happy with my apprenticeship and I just wish I could have had this opportunity earlier.

I would definitely recommend it because every day is different with a lot of opportunities and you can meet loads of new people.
